Veniamin Kondratyev: Krasnodar Region signs 55 agreements worth a record 492 billion roubles at 2026 St Petersburg International Economic Forum

The governor announced the results of the region’s delegation at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum.

«This year, we signed 55 agreements worth a record sum of nearly 492 billion roubles. Once all the projects have been implemented, we will have created almost 7,500 jobs. We have signed agreements across various sectors, including industry, tourism, IT, construction, and agriculture,» said Veniamin Kondratyev.

The governor noted that several important meetings with foreign partners had taken place at the forum. The region's delegation met with the ambassadors of the United Arab Emirates, Israel, and Kazakhstan, and, as is customary, with the ambassador of the Republic of Belarus. The delegation also held talks with the Chairman of the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia.

The municipalities that have attracted the most investment under these agreements are Novorossiysk, the Dinskoy District, Krasnodar, Sochi, and the Temryuksky District.

In Krasnodar specifically, a warehouse facility, a logistics park, and a consumer service facility are set to be built, alongside one of Russia's largest production facilities for medicines and dietary supplements.

A production and warehouse facility for corrugated cardboard manufacturing is to be built in the Korenovsky District. Another packaging and corrugated cardboard production facility will be established in Tikhoretsk. In the Timashevsky District, stainless steel production will be expanded, while Krasnodar will see the launch of a radio-electronics cluster and a full-cycle, import-substituting facility for unitised façades. In the Kurganinsky District, import-substituting sheet metal fabrication will be modernised. Under one of the signed agreements, processing capacity for shea nuts will be increased, an innovative confectionery ingredient produced at a factory in the Temryuksky District.

The signed agreements will also lead to the establishment of Krasnodar's first high-tech park and the Afipsky industrial park in the Seversky District. A thermal power station is set to be built in the Dinskoy District by 2030, while another agreement marks the start of the largest phase of a multi-purpose iron ore transshipment facility at the port of Novorossiysk, scheduled to open in 2027.

In the village of Azovskaya, Seversky District, an all-season resort is to be built, featuring a hotel and spa complex, a winery, and a cider production facility.

In Sochi, a sports and wellness centre for leisure and medical rehabilitation will be established, alongside a new hotel complex in the village of Kudepsta. The buildings of a pension in the Lazarevsky District will be refurbished, and a multi-purpose hotel and office complex will be built in the Central District of the resort.

The forum's business programme featured a discussion of wine tourism prospects in the region, including a presentation on the potential of a unified digital catalogue of Krasnodar Region wineries.

At the forum, an agreement was signed on the development of creative industries in the Krasnodar Region. The region was also recognised for its development of the gas-powered vehicle fuel market and renewable energy.

The highlight of the forum was the plenary session addressed by President Vladimir Putin, who named the Krasnodar Region among the regions successfully attracting investment. According to the annual investment climate ranking compiled by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, the region took fourth place for the first time.
