Kuban ranked among the top three leading regions in Russia for exporting agricultural products in 2023

According to a report by the Federal Center for the Development of Exports of Agricultural Products of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Krasnodar Territory was ranked among the top three Russian regions for agricultural exports in 2023, contributing 7% to the country’s total agricultural and industrial exports.

«The Krasnodar Territory’s exports amount to $3.0 billion, representing 7% of the total exports of the Russian agro-industrial complex. These exports mainly consist of grain, with wheat alone accounting for 39.2% of the total exports in 2023. Also, fat and oil products, including rapeseed oil at 15.4% and sunflower oil at 8.5% of total exports in 2023, represent a significant portion. Additionally, the region supplied its products to 107 destinations in 2023,» the report stated.

At the end of 2023, Russia’s total exports of agricultural products amounted to $43.5 billion, which is 4.3% more than in 2022. The top 10 regions provided 67.9% of Russia’s total exports (or $29.6 billion in value) as much as in 2022. In 2023, agricultural goods were supplied to more than 150 countries.
